　　Architecture Bachelor’s Program

　　Application foradmission only for the winter semester.

　　Deadline: July 15each year (non-prolongable cut-off period!)

　　申请流程

　　1.建筑学本科学位课程申请

　　只可以申请冬季学期入学。

　　截止日期：每年的7月15日(不可延期)。

　　One of the followingqualifications is required:

　　General qualificationfor university entrance

　　Technicallyorientated specific qualification for university entrance

　　Qualificationobtained at a Technische Oberschule (technical upper school) in Baden-Württemberg

　　Please consult KITStudienbüro in case of qualifications from other GermanFederal Lands whose validity throughout the country (especially inBaden-Wuerttemberg) is not directly evident.

　　需要以下任意证书：

　　大学入学一般资格证

　　大学入学特定技术资格证

　　巴登-符腾堡上等技术学校颁发的资格证

　　Foreign applicantsare requested to submit their qualifications for university entrance translatedinto German, English or French and must have adequate knowledge of German.Admission to the Bachelor’s Program is restricted.After deduction of a preliminary rate of hardship cases (5 %), foreignapplicants (10 %), and second-degree applicants (2 %), 10 percent of 156possible students are admitted after a waiting period of one or more semesters.90 percent of the students that can be admitted are accepted passing selectionprocedures.

　　The selectionprocedure is mainly based on the school performance of the applicants whichtogether with a range of so-called other achievements adds up to a credit pointranking.

　　外国学生需要提交大学入学资格证德文、英文或法文译本，需要具备足够的德国知识。本科学位课程入学有限制。除去困难情况学生(占5%)、国外申请者(占10%)和第二学位申请者(占2%)的初步比例，在一到二个学期的等待期之后，有156(占10%)个入学名额可供申请。成功入学的学生中90%都要通过筛选程序筛选。

　　筛选程序主要参考申请人的在校表现。在校表现和其他成绩共同构成学分排名。

　　1. General schoolperformance

　　Total universityentrance qualification points.

　　2. Subject-specificschool performance:

　　Upper school advancedlevel grade points achieved for the subjects German, mathematics, a modernforeign language (highest grade), an artistic subject, and a humanities-relatedsubject.

　　3. Other achievements

　　Qualification in arecognized occupation requiring formal training, and former occupationalpractice, also without qualification, that is relevant to the intended courseof studies. Practical experience, extracurricular achievements andqualifications (for example prizes, awards, memberships in working groups, andparticularly social or political commitment or commitment to sports, gap yeartaken to do voluntary work in the social sector, etc.), and specificsubject-relevant preparatory training such as physics courses at upper schooladvanced level.

　　Architecture Master’s Program

　　Application foradmission both for the winter and the summer semester.

　　Deadline for thewinter semester: July 15 (non-prolongable cut-off period!)

　　Deadline for thesummer semester: January 15 (non-prolongable cut-off period!)

　　Admission to the Master’s Program is restricted. 75 students have been admitted for theacademic year 2009/2010.

　　2.建筑学硕士课程申请

　　冬季学期和夏季学期都可以申请入学。

　　冬季学期申请截止日期：7月15日(不可延期)。

　　夏季学期申请截止日期：1月15日(不可延期)。

　　建筑学硕士课程入学有限制。在2009-10学年中有75名学生入学。

　　Admission to theselection procedure requires:

　　1.An above-averagebachelor’s degree or at least equivalent degree orqualification from a university, university of applied science or university ofcooperative education. Achievement of a minimum of 180 ECTS points or,alternatively, studies of at least three years’duration in architecture or a related subject.

　　入学筛选程序要求如下：

　　1.持有高于平均水平的大学学士学位或至少同等学位证(资格证)，大学应为应用科学大学或合作教育大学。至少获得180个 ECTS 学分，或至少有建筑学及或相关学科三年学习经历。

　　2.Portfolios orproject folders (as practical scientific recitation). The deadline forportfolio/folder submission will be announced four weeks in advance.

　　The credits assignedto the sum of the bachelor’s and portfolio/foldergradings add up to a credit point ranking that provides the basis foradmission. The overall grade of the final examination is converted to allowreaching a maximum of 30 credits. The portfolio/folder recitation is evaluatedseparately on a scale reaching from 0 to 15. A total of 45 credits can beobtained.

　　2.材料或项目作品(实践科学陈述)。提交截止日期将提前四周公布。

　　总学士学分和材料或项目文件成绩共同构成学分排名，作为入学参考的基础。最终考试总成绩最多可以转30个学分。作品陈述单独评估，成绩在0到15分之间。总共可以获得45个学分。

　　Up to 10 credits may beadded to the overall number of credits if you can produce proof of an officeinternship, of a qualification in a recognized occupation requiring formaltraining or of occupational practice, also without training qualification, thatis relevant to the intended course of studies.

　　Art History Bachelor’s and Master’s Programs

　　According to anordinance issued on July 17, 2009 by the Ministry of Science, Research, andCulture, admission to the Art History Bachelor’s andMaster’s Programs is unrestricted.

　　3.艺术史本科和硕士课程申请

　　Old-buildingRenovation Master’s Program

　　Admission to thePostgraduate Old-building Renovation Master’s Programrequires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree (“Diplom“) and proof of occupational aptitude.

　　4.旧建筑改造硕士课程申请

　　旧建筑改造硕士课程入学要求具有学士学位或同等学力学位，和职业能力倾向证明。

　　Admission isrestricted to the winter semesters.

　　In addition, proofsmust be produced of a two-year training qualification that is relevant to theintended course of studies and of other, scientific, and occupationalqualifications. A personal statement giving the reasons for choosing Karlsruheas the place of study and for selecting the desired study course and futureprofession must be added to all other documents.

　　The availablesemestral admissions to the Postgraduate Old-building Renovation Master’s Program are distributed among all applicants fulfilling the aboveformal conditions. If there are qualified applicants in excess of the number ofavailable admissions, candidates are chosen by selection and rankings of courseachievements, other, scientific, and occupational qualifications, and selectioninterviews. Total credits then are calculated by considering the creditsobtained for the course achievements (20 %), for other, scientific, andoccupational qualifications (30 %), and for the selection interview (50 %).

　　满足上述条件要求的学生，均获得旧建筑改造硕士课程入学资格。对于超出入学名额以外的各自申请人，学校将通过筛选，参考申请人课程成绩排名、其他科学和职业资格证以及面试筛选择优录用。总分有三个部分构成：课程学分(占20%)、其他科学和职业资格证(占30%)、面试筛选(占50%)。

　　A maximum of 80points can be obtained for course achievements. Up to 15 points are achievablefor other, scientific, and occupational qualifications such as:

　　1.Qualification in arecognized occupation requiring formal training

　　2.Practicalexperience and specific preparatory training

　　3.Extracurricularachievements and qualifications such as prizes and awards

　　课程成绩最高80分。其他科学和职业资格证最高15分。如:

　　1.有正式培训要求的公认职业颁发的资格证

　　2.实践经历和特定学前培训

　　3.课外成绩和资格证(如荣誉和奖项)

　　Outstandingscientific achievements such as relevant publications, exceptional scientificpapers, research activities, and research experience gained at scientificinstitutions or in industry can be considered in addition.

　　科学成就(相关出版物、优质科技论文、研究活动、研究机构或企业研究经历)突出的，可额外考虑。

　　The selectioninterview serves to find out whether the expertise gained by the applicant inthe course of studies provides a sufficient basis for the required preliminaryscientific and practical knowledge. Moreover, it is assessed whether he or sheis apt for and open-minded to the selected study course. Each applicant isinterviewed by a selection commission for approximately 30 minutes and isaccredited with up to 15 points.

　　KIT will announce thetimes and places of the selection interviews two weeks in advance. Applicantsadmitted to take part in the interview will be invited in due course.

　　面试筛选目的在于考核申请人课程专业知识是否达到学校对科学实践知识的初步要求。此外，面试筛选也可以看出申请人乐意学习预选课程，是否对预选课程持开放态度。每个申请人由遴选委员会面试，面试时长在30分钟左右，面试成绩最高15分。
